We are an intergenerational, bicultural, and bilingual Episcopal family worshiping, serving, and caring together in English and Spanish. We are located at the edge of a 55+ community in the Phoenix West Valley. We treasure our past and are hopeful in looking toward to our future.
We have challenges but are resilient, joyful, and eager to move forward to what the Holy Spirit and God has in store for us! We are committed to living out our faith by supporting those in need, both in our community and around the world.
Ministries: Worship & Prayer: Altar Guild Ministry
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. [Acts 2:42]
The Altar Guild is a “behind the scenes” ministry that provides an opportunity to "serve the Lord in the beauty of holiness". Working as a team, we prepare everything necessary for the celebration of the Eucharist or any of the other Sacraments and Offices of the Church – the flowers, the hangings, the candles, the vestments, the linens, the sacred vessels, the baptismal font, the bread and the wine. In addition to our regular Sunday services and the Wednesday healing service, the Altar Guild also sets up for weddings, baptisms, special memorial services, and the creche at Christmas.
Our newest traditions include a service honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe and recreating Mary and Joseph’s search for a place to stay - the Posadas. We arrange the prayer shawls, quilts and blankets which provide colorful displays at the altar rail for the monthly blessings on the 1st Sunday of the month. We include those who can’t come to church by preparing LEV boxes to take communion to them.
